911DA Story: Story

My husband and I, as well as our three married children and their families are observant Jewish families. We know of world tragedies, as we have lost family in the Holacaust during WW11. We observe a Holacaust Rememberance Day each year on our calandar.

To hear the news about the Twin Towers' explosions felt like another overwhelming major disaster of our lifetime, that also struck us so very deeply.

Living in Florida, we do not know too many people, except for family in the New York area. Fortunately,we did not really know anyone that worked in the Towers, but did hear stories from friends and neighbors that did have family or friends that perished there!

I was very touched by the presentation on the Today Show this morning that commemerated the series of events that led to the deaths of almost three thousand people! Oprah
also shared accounts of many families today and how they were coping with life, one year later.

It was assuring to hear about the appropriations that will be given to the surviving families in the near future.
These monentary compensations will be a small token of consellation for those who have suffered horrendous loses.

In closing, our hearts are in sympathy for all those grieving families and pray that the magnitude of this terror will never be repeated!
