On September 11, I was in the 6th grade. I remember waking up like normal and going downstairs to eat breakfast when the phone rang. No one calls at seven in the morning. I answered and I remember my aunt telling me to have my parents turn on the news. Of course I wanted to see what was going on. I saw what was on and I thought that it was a movie, so I turned the channel and saw it again. I asked my parents what was going on and they told me. I was late to school that day. All of my teachers were talking about it. When I was in 8th grade I was able to go to New York and see ground zero for myself and it was amazing. I couldn't belive what I was seeing. I will never forget it.
