For me it was the start of a new day,I never imagined that for so many it would be the end of that day and all the other days that were ahead of them. I walked into my kitchen and put on the television.Out of the corner of my eye I saw a tower on fire.At first I thought that it was a science fiction movie,almost like a King Kong type of film."Strange to have a science fiction movie on TV so early in the morning" I thought to myself.I soon realized that I was watching a horrible tragedy.Withing a few minutes I saw a plane flying very low and then hit the second tower.All this was right in front of me in my house and on my TV set. I wanted to rush out and help the people,I felt so helpless.Then came the news of the Pentagon and the airplane crash in Pennsylvania.Now there was no doubt that it was a terrorist attack,I could do nothing but watch.My heart went out to all the victims,innocent people targeted by cold blooded,fanatical killers.I hoped that they did not suffer.Those fanatics thought that they would destroy our spirit but instead they made us realize that we live in a wonderful and caring country. Flags now fly over homes and cars and we have become patriotic.We are one family.
