This day will always be bittersweet for me. My daughter turned four on September 11, 2001. I was home preparing for her birthday celebration. I was in the kitchen baking her birthday cake watching the events unfold. The horror as things kept unfolding & thinking what could happen next. The worry from having a husband who worked at the power plant knowing that terrorists could easily bomb these to cause trouble on american soil. The excitement of seeing my four year old having a birthday expecially since she was born with a heart defect & was labeled failure to thrive but she fooled them all by thriving & growing. The sadness in people faces when they find out her birthday is the same day as this horrible tradgedy. Our daughter is a true miracle & even though this day is a tragedy it lives on as a celebration through my child
