This was my day off and when i awoke a friend told me a plane hit the WTC and no one was sure how or why it happened. As we watched the tv i cant even tell you how awful we felt and then when the second plane hit we started to cry. When we found out it was terrorist related we had such a tremendous amount of grief, anxiety, sadness every bad emotion all at one time. Yes, i am thousands of miles away but i am not removed from the sadness of what happened. Every day, i, among thousands of others, remember 9-11-01 and everyday i hear sad stories coming from children, parents, sibilngs, spouses and im thankful for what i have and i am glad that we hear the stories everyday to keep it fresh. I have never seen this country pull together the way it has since 9-11-01 and i think through continued support from all and a better understanding of others feelings we will emerge an even stronger country. God bless everyone who has pride to be an american.
