Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I live in Springfield,Mo. My boyfiend and I were arriving in St. Louis on the 10th to spend a couple of vacation days there and then on to K.C. to visit his sister. I remember waking up and turning on the T.V. to see what the weather was going to be like, and in my astonishment saw the first plane hitting the tower. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. At first I wondered if this was some kind of weird movie. And then came the reporters saying this had just happened. I was just mortified. I woke up my boyfriend and was telling him what had happened and we both saw the second plane hit the next tower. We were glued to the T.V. until we had to check out if the motel. I remember we both felt so lost. We wern't sure what to do. And then we found out all the government buildings were being closed. We didn't know what to think or what to do! We decided to head for his sister's house so we could be close to family. When we got there everyone was making a mad dash to get gas, it was so crazy! When we saw his sister we were all just in a daze. We couldn't believe what was happening! We all stayed glued to the T.V. for that whole day. In the process we were phoning all of our family everywhere to see how they were. A couple of days later we came home to still be overwhelmed with what had happened. And then all the stories from the people involved started to reach us-- it was so horrible! I think the country was in total astonishment! For many months we followed all the progress that the city was going through. And for the whole year we never went through one day without thinking about what happened to so many people and the lives that were changed forever!
