911DA Story: Story
I was at my friend's house, spent the previus night there. I had not seen him in a couple of years, so it was a party atmosphere, drank too much beer!
The next morning, around 6:30 AM, he was pounding on the door, yelling "Get up and take a piss, Rick! The world's on fire!"
I thought he was just torturing me, to see if I would get up, I sure didn't feel like it. But he kept insisting, said the World Trade Center was gone, collapsed. "Both buildings?" "Ya, two planes crashed into them".
That's when I thought aboput how many casualties there could be. I was in a dark mood for weeks after.
Also, my #1 grandson's first birthday was September 12th, 2001. I remember thinking that makes me angry that these guys would do something like that, and now my grandson's birthday will forever be clouded, overshadowed by that event
