Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: It was a regular work day when I co-worker came in and said that she heard on her way to work that a plane had just hit the Twin Towers. She then came back by to say that another plane had hit the other tower. With this bit of news, I went into the patient activity room where the television was on. I stood there in disbelief and awe of the destruction that occurred and hoped that no one that I knew was on these planes which had left from Logan Airport. The rest of the day was filled with trips to the television room to hear the latest updates,which included the strike on the Pentagon and the heroes of the flight which crashed in Pennsylvania. To this day I still cannot believe the destruction that this caused and the way everyone's life was changed on that fateful day. I made a trip to New York in June after they had completed the recovery efforts, and was amazed at how much destruction had occurred. The memorial around the site is so amazing that words cannot express it. Today my heart still feels sorrow for all those who were intimately effected by this horrific tragedy. I now have a true appreciation of what it is to be an American and how much we need to treasure each freedom that we possess. God Bless America!!!
