Tell us your story: Timothy Upton Global 1 Project The Act Of The Terrorists on September 11th On September 11, 2001, I was at school in third period gym class. Everybody was talking about an airplane hitting the World Trade Center. I though the kids were joking. Up until then, I was going through the day like the airplane hitting the towers was a joke. Until I went to my Global class and saw a replay of a airplane going in to the World Trade Center. The people in towers in New York City were scared because the buildings were burning and they had no way out. They were jumping out the windows. Even some people jumped from the top of the building trying to get out of there. I feel bad for the people who were killed or injured in this terrorist attack. Some of the best firemen died helping people get out. On the plane there were even little childen that got killed when their plane was hijacked. I think what the terrorists did was wrong. It killed thousands of innocent people and we lost the World Trade Center. This act of terrorism is very bad because it changed the lives of many families, damaged our economy and destroyed a national landmark. People were very scared. Every one called their family members to say, "I love you! Are you okay?" Many people sat and waited for some one to call. They never got a call. Now America will have to be more protective. People will have to be searched at airports and at the borders. The weird thing is that we were studying Terrorism in Global Studies class when this happened the next day. Well, I hope terrorism ends soon because there is no reason for this to be going on. We did not do any thing to these terrorist people. If they do act again, we will just bomb their entire place and destroy them to preserve our freedom forever. I think that the terrorists will act again because they hate us. I hope not, because we will lose more innocent lives. The thing I don't get is why would you kill yourself to kill some one else? If I was told to do that I would say no because I think it was wrong to Family members will be gone hurt another nation's people when we did not do anything to them. Now when you go to the airport, will be searched thoroughly. They will search your bags, and whatever you have with you. I will never forget September 11th. I will not look at planes in the same way again. They will remind of bombs and deaths.
