From the first message of a plane hitting the World Trade Center, i knew it was an act of terrorism and not an accident. my collegues and i gathered around our conference room and put the television on to watch for the entire day. the only feeling i could have was that of wanting to go home and be with the one i love and know that my family was safe. i left work around 3 PM (way too late already) and the roads were like a ghost town, nobody was out. the scariest, sadest feeling ever. i cried and cried.
