911DA Story: Story
I woke up around 9am to go jogging that day. As I was doing stretches in my living room, I heard the voice of the kid next door screaming "Planes have hit the World Trade Center." It sounded completely crazy. It was unreasonable. After a bit a turned on CNN and saw that it was true.
I saw the images and then went running. As I ran in Prospect Park I thought that the world has changed. Nothing will be the same. I got home and turned the TV back on.
I was confused as to whether I should go into work or not. Planes had hit the WTC and I was still thinking of going to work. My mind wasn't working on all cylinders. It took a phone call from my wife to tell me not to go in. I had showered, gotten dressed and even had my metrocardin hand. She told me to stay at home and finally it dawned on me that this day was different from all other days.
I stayed at home and watched TV for 15 hours straight.
