Tell us your story: I was getting ready to leave for work, and was watching "Good Morning America " like I do every day,,, and all of a sudden Charlie Gibson was watching this plane that hit the building and he could not believe what he sore, and neither could I! I was so shocked, I called my husband and son in Columbia, Tn. to tell them to turn on the TV. It was a personal tradidy,,,,,,my niece in Long Island, her husband was in the fire dept, the hazardous dept. and I immediately called my cousin to find out if she heard anything about Dennis Scauso. Turns out he was one of the first to go there with his dept........It has been one long horror story,,,,, they never did find him, the only thing they found, was his helmet......He had a wife and four children.... They will never be the same. My niece is still not and never will get over the loss. They were childhood sweethearts... I hope this story helps someone else knowing that we all have felt the hurt and the sorrow of the families involved.
