Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was working that day. I work in a helpdesk at Unisys corporation. We support various contracts around the world. It was about 10 minutes after the inital plane struck the first tower. I received a call from one of our customers, he asked me if I was seeing this. I had no idea what he was speaking of, he proceeded to tell me. My heart just dropped as I finished up the service request. I then went on CNN.com and watched the coverage. The feelings that ran through me varied from confused, angry to sad. I had no idea where this would stop. My father was in DC that day on capital hill. I was worried for his safety. He eventually called me and let me know he was safe. He asked that I call my mother in Philadelphia and tell her not to make the trip back to DC as planned that day. My family was all safe, including my new born that was home with the beautiful love of my life. This was a very sad day for me personally, as well as our great land. I can't imagine a life that would breed such anger to perform a deed like this. The most disturbing memory I have of that day was the footage that I saw on the television. People jumping from 100 plus stories, others hanging onto the building, I cried that day. I will never understand the hate that some people seal inside of them. Thanks for letting me share.
