I was home from work on a maternity leave. My son was born on August 14th. I was getting my five year old on the school bus while my husband (who was home sick)was watching the news. He suddenly yelled out, "a plane just hit some building in New York". I ran in and we watched the events unfold. It was extremely surreal. We spent the day tuned in to all the updates. We thanked God we were safe and mourned for those who lost their lives. It truly seemed unbelievable that such a thing could happen here, and yet it did. We continue to pray for the heroes and think about them every day. God Bless America.
