On September 11, 2001, I was walking home with my friend Amanda and her friends when we walked past one of her friends' house. We stopped to take a break on their yard when her friend said, " The Trade Center got bombed." At first we didn't believe them because they're known for playing jokes, but we had second thoughts after a few minutes. Her firends started to explain what had happened, but we lwft because it was getting late. We walked home. What if it was true? Does that mean we're going to war with another country? I started wondering if it wasn't true. This sure would have been the biggest joke they played. Finally, when I got home, my mom was sitting on the couch watching the news. I said, "Hi Mom!" She wasn't very talkative. I asked her what she was watching. She said the World Trade Center blew up. I couldn't believ it. It was true! I sat down in the recliner and thought about it for a couple minutes. then I got up and my family and I tried not to think about it so much.
