911DA Story: Story

I like the rest of the United Staes cried and mourned the carnage and senseless tragedy of September 11, 2001. It hit me later on , how many people this act of terrorism hurt when I was at Arlington national Cemetery last March. My mother is buried in Arlingto. She passed away only 2 years ago and I miss her very much. As I stood at her grave with my personal thoughts, I looked over my left shoulder and saw the reconstuction efforts at the Pentagon nearby. The plane that hit the Pentagon had flown over the grave of my beloved mother, a woman who never hurt anyone and sacrificed much for the love of her country. I realised how so many innocent people were killed or somehow damaged on that day.
There is a quote from William Saroyan's play, The Time of Your Life, that should fit how each one of us needs to live our lives: " In the time of your life, live, so that in that good time, you shall not add to the misery an suffering of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it."
