911DA Story: Story

Driving home on 495 in fear of another terrorist attack, I approached the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. As I looked to my right I saw the smoke billowing above the Pentagon, and time stood still... Earlier that day, I called to NY frantically to see if my best friend was okay. I finally got through to her father who confirmed she was alive, but not well. When I talked with her before leaving Lanham, she told me that our high school friend who worked in the Towers was missing... He hadn't checked in for 3 hours after the buildings came down, and that was very unlike him. We feared the worst, and it was the worst.
Our tight circle of high school friends was broken. They had taken Mark McGinly.
