911DA Story: Story

It was the 9 am wake up call. I rose to stare at the tv in horror. Buildings aren't made for such things. I remember seeing it in unbelief. I honestly said to myself, "planes aren't meant to fly that low." Then the word L-I-V-E popped up on the screen. In the pit of my belly I felt the worst turn that has ever been there. U.S. soil hadn't been such a breeding ground for outside attack. It was similar to the Columbine shooting, but the deaths were more numerous and hit harder at home. Life can be snatched away in such a quiet moment. Imagine being at your desk, standing in an elevator, or walking down a hall and you see this enormous grey object coming directly towards or feeling the steel of your fragile surrounding bend inwards from impact. We can't imagine the terror that ran in those delicate moments of those HEROS lives. God Bless them, I'll never leave your children, wives, and husbands out of my prayers. God blessed us with strength. Let us now look for the future.
