I had just dropped off my 2 little girls at daycare and was on my way to work. I was listing to the radio and heard them begin to talk about it. I listend for a minute thinking it was just a joke, then when I turned the station and heard other stations talking about it I knew it was real. I became very afraid. I went to work and everyone there was listening to it also. I awnser the telephones at work and people would occasionaly call in orders and all I could think of is "Don't you know what's going on? Why are you calling? Don't you care? Aren't you scared too?" All I wanted to do was go pick up my girls and go home with them, but my job wouldn't let me leave. It was a horrible day and I've never been so happy to get off work and hug my kids. I've always loved my family but Sept. 11 made me realize how much I really deeply love them and appreciate them in ways I never realized before.
