911DA Story: Story
On my drive into work, I was noticing what a beautiful morning
it was and how lucky we were to have such good weather in
September. I was half listening to the radio as I parked the car
and I heard a late breaking report about some plane hitting
a Tower in the Trade Center. I hurried into the office and
went to a break area with a TV to see if there was more
information. I looked in disbelief at the destruction and
immediately began praying for all those people in the building.
I stood rooted to the spot, unable to really believe that
someone could accidentally hit a huge building. The second
plane came onto the screen as the broadcasters continued their
emotional reports and in seconds the second tower was a blazing
inferno. I dropped to the floor in horror. I couldn't believe
what I saw and I immediately knew...this was NO ACCIDENT. The
only thing I wanted to do right then was get in touch with my
children to verify their safety. We spent a great deal of the
rest of the day discussing who would do this and why amid the
tears of anger, hurt, unbelievable pain for the families and
the country that would never be the same. And we continued to
pray.
