As usual I got up at 6 am with my husband. As he is getting ready for work I'm making his lunch. I wake the my 14 year old son and my 9 year old daughter up for school. Meanwhile my 2 year old and a 4 a month is waking up to be nursed. At this time the house is in full swing for the day ahead with the news on as always. Daddy leaves for work @ 630. After that I can't hardly remeber in detail what happened next at what time. All I remeber is the news catching my utmost attention. The two older kids are watching and asking me what is going on. are we being attacked or did the plane just crashed?? I couldn't answer them. As everything unfolds I never knew people could harbor such hatred and ignorance towards another human being. The phone rings I say around sometime before 7 am. My girlfriend is the PTA president of a local school. She is frantic and asked if I'm sending my kids to school? I told her I don't know. Should I send them or keep them at home. I was in such confusion and saddness. I was dumbfounded. I kept them home and I immediately called my husband at work. He did no know what had happened. He immediately told his fellow workers. He stayed at work and said if anything else happens he will come home. But try not to let the children watch the news. He told me "I love you". And I said "I love you to". Give the kids all a big hug and kiss and tell them daddy loves each one of them and that everything will alright. That day the world changed and so did I. I fear flying very much. I don't know if I can ever fly again. But I do know My faith is as strong as its ever been and I'm more patriotic. I thank "GOD" for this wonderful country and people. "That which hurts us only makes us stronger"..
