911DA Story: Story

I was home with my newborn daughter (six days old). We had just gotten out of the hospital a few days before. My husband had already left for work and she and I were laying in bed. I had just awakened and I decided to turn the TV on and see what was on. The first thing I turned it to was one of the morning shows (Today or Good Morning America, I can't remember which). I saw the report of a building burning. The sound wasn't turned up very loud on the TV, so I didn't hear what was going on at first. I didn't recognize right off what building was burning and as I sat watching this and trying to comprehend what was going on, the second plane hit the tower. I was shocked, to say the least. Being stuck at home with nothing else to do but watch TV, I sat and watched the horror unfold all day. I know I cried a few times, thinking of what all those people who had been trapped in the buildings and on the planes must have been feeling in their final moments. It was such a sad day. I know 9/11 is a day I will always remember where I was and what I was doing.
