911DA Story: Story
First I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. My story is not special but my heart was there in New York and Washington DC and Pennsylvania and my heart fell when I heard of the cowardice attack.
I was transfering to my last bus on the way to work, 6:30 am. The bus driver say's, " You won't believe what just happened." He told me that an Airplane had flown into one of the World Trade Center Towers. At first everyone thought there had been an accident. No one had radios or anyway to check out the news. The bus driver only new from his dispatch station.
I finally arrived at work to see my co-workers huddled around a little tiny TV in one 9 X 9 cubicle. I heard the the second tower was hit and the Pentagon as well. I and everyone else were in tears, we couldn't stop crying and holding hands and nothing could tear us away from that awful sight.
We prayed for New York and Washington, and then we prayed for America. I was so proud of my country and sisters and brothers for how instantly we came together and helped out.
We're family and we didn't have to think twice about helping in anyway we could.
Proud to be an American
