Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: The morning of September 11, 2001 I was 7 months pregnant with my son and on bedrest. My 3yr old daughter and her babysitter were in the living room watching cartoons while I was in bed watching the Today show when they came across that the first tower had been hit by a plane. I yelled for our babysitter to come look and we both were just in shock (ofcourse we thought it was just an accident). But then we watched another plane come out the side of our view and crash into the second tower. I couldn't believe it I just started crying and hugging my daughter close - I couldn't understand how 2 planes could have the same accident within minutes of each other. I immediately called my husband at work and told him to watch the tv, I couldn't stop crying and hugging my daughter and my unborn baby boy in my belly. For days after that I couldn't get the image of the second plane going into the tower. It seemed like out of all the images I had seen that was the one that would not go away. I always think "oh my god what could those people be thinking? knowing that they are going to die". For a long time after that I couldn't even watch the news because it upset me so much and I was so close to the end of my pregnancy. Also, we had a hard time explaining to our daughter why the planes went into the buildings. She would see it on tv and say "Planes go boom", it still brings tears to my eyes when I think of my innocent little 2yr old saying and seeing something so horrific that I couldn't even handle as an adult. As the one year mark rolls by I think it was such a terrible thing, however, as Americans we have grown stronger TOGETHER and shown that nothing and nobody can bring us down. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
