I was in high school when this happened and I did not know that it happened for three hours. I was in a parenting class, as a senior. When I heard this story I was so upset that I left school. I heard the United States Coast Guard was moving to the Homeland Defense Department. Until then I had no idea what I would do with my life. Due to the attacks on our country I joined the United States Coast Guard, active duty. I graduated basic training on August 09, 2002. I'm now stationed in Houston Texas at the Marine Safety Office. Today is September 14, 2002 and I want to tell all of those who lost family that I'm sorry. I tried to give blood and I was turned away because I was to young. My sister and I tried for weeks and we could not. I'm so sorry to all of those children who lost their parents. I wish I could have helped find everyone and if I were there I would have killed myself to help all of you.
