911DA Story: Story
I was teaching a first grade class, on this clear, crisp, not a cloud in the sky day when I first found out that a commercial airline hit the trade center. Like most, I was in complete shock when I found out that both the towers collapsed and that America was under attack.
Its hard to put into words what I felt that day....we were dismissed early, so that everyone could get home to their loved ones. I watched T.V. all day in disbelief as I watched those horrific acts over and over again. I hugged my little girl and thanked God that no one close to me was in the city that day.
My heart still aches for those who's lives were so tragically taken from them, as well as for their families. I believe that we all walk around with a hole in our heart that can never be filled. However, I also believe that justice will prevail in some way,shape or form.
Yes, our lives have been changed forever..btu we still have our memories...no one will ever be able to take that away!
