Tell us your story: On the morning of Sept 11th 2001, a co-worker in my office heard that an airplane hit one of the towers at the World Trade Center. We all went to the room where the TV showed us one tower on fire and smoking. I know going through my mind was: How could an airplane NOT miss that tower! Of course, not long after the second plane hit the other tower and there was no denying we were under attack. The whole day was surreal ... the only times the phone rang at our office was when hospitals were calling to rent critical care equipment from our company. Allegiance Respiratory Care. I think when the plane hit the Pentagon is when I really began to fear what was happening, and then there were unconfirmed reports of a plane down in Western PA. You had to wonder "what's next"?
