Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On september 11th it was just a normal day at school and I was working on our morning work. All of a sudden James McAndrews came in yelling, "Hey everybody guess what! My sister is in New York and she saw the plane crash into the twin towers!" Of course know one knew what he was talking about, so we continued our work. Later on when our teacher got in from bus duty she had a class talk about it. I was thinking at the time, "Why is everybody making such a big deal out of a couple of buildings." Then I realized how many people died and what the Afganistanians did to our country. I realized the terror of what happened. Then the next night I couldn't sleep. In that next month all we did was talk with the class, grade, and school. In a way Im a tad bit happy they did that because they brought our country claoser togther as more of a nation. Now everone is caring more for people and families are talking with eachother.
