911DA Story: Story

I had just gotten out of a meeting and taken some notes when a co-worker told me that a single engine plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. I headed to the lunch room to check out the news and found out that an airliner, not a single engine plane, had hit the building. It was about then when the second plane hit and all of us knew it was no accident. For the next several hours I found myself glued to the television, absorbing as much information as possible. My thoughts constantly drifted to my older brother and brother-in-law, a C-17 pilot and an inteligence officer in the Air Force, respectively. I knew something would develop, militarily, from these incidents and I couldn't help but be concerned for their safety. I have to admit, that day was one of the longest of my life and I hope I never have to relive it.
