Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On a normal day my wife Karen and I drive down to work together to midtown Manhattan, that morning I had a doctors appointment and my wife traveled down by bus to Port Authority. I finished my appointment and headed down the Palisades Pkwy towards the George Washington Bridge as I approached the bridge I saw we were being detoured away from the bridge,I thought there was an automobile accident. I had also just put my radio on and heard that the first plane hit the Trade Center. After turning back towards home I heard the second plane hit and I knew we were under attack! Meanwhile my wife arrived into Port Authority not knowing anything was going on until a friend of hers told her. She was stuck in the city and I had no way of getting her out. Luckily a co-worker of hers had an apartment in the city and invited her to stay with her. My wife called me at home to tell me she was okay! My wifes co-workers apartment wasn't far from the Empire State Building and all night they heard sirens and smelled the smoke from the burning Towers. They kept hearing that the Empire State Building might also be a target and they were very scared as the apartment wasn't to far from there. After the 3rd day I was able to get back into the city and was able to be reunited with my wife. It was very upsetting to me everyday going to work and passing the city skyline,as I drove thru the Lincoln Tunnel and saw where the Towers once were standing there was only smoke. May we never go thru this horrible act of terrorism again, and may God Bless the souls of all who have perished. "God Bless America".
