I will never forget that morning, the sky was so blue and beautiful. I was on my way to work when I heard the news, I was in utter shock. I remember going home to pick up a TV to watch the coverage and the streets were so somber. You could feel the sorrow in the air, but at the same time I felt united. I felt a new connection with my neighbor and felt the pain and cries of those families who lost their loved ones like they were my own. I was scared, I wanted to take all my family in one room and hold them close. Me and my boyfriend made a special bond that day and the days thereafter which turned into a wonderful marriage and the birth of our son soon after. I will never forget that day, ever.
