911DA Story: Story
On September 11th, 2001, I was an 18-year old college freshman. It was my second day of college, and I arrived at school at the exact moment the first plane hit the World Trade Center. I ran to find the nearest TV that wasn't crowded, so I went to the school bookstore, and watched in horror at 9:02 a.m. as one of the towers came down. It was so scary. The images played before my eyes over and over again. I went to class at 10:30 that morning, and the class was dismissed at 12:20, as it was supposed to. The campus cancelled all of its classes after 2:30, and all of the residents had to remain on the campus in the dorms and apartments. Commuters (like myself), faculty, and administration had to leave the campus. he next day, we discussed what happened during my Media, Culture, and Society class. I'm now 20 years old and will begin my junior year in September 2003, but I'll never forget what happened my freshman year, on that beautiful late-summer morning.
