Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I had just went on break and was in the teacher's lounge. I overheard two other teacher's talking and one of them was crying. I asked her what was wrong. She said the World Trade Center in New York had been hit by some planes; and, two other planes had crashed. I can remember feeling like I had been punched in the stomach. I went to the office and called my husband, (Mickey) and asked him if he had heard the news. He said he was watching it on the news. For the rest of the day, I talked with my students what was happening. Every time there was a new development, someone would pass the news on to all the teachers; and we would continue to discuss the news.
