Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: It started as just an average Tuesday morning at work. I was helping with the switchboard when my boyfriend called up to tell me a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. My first reaction was that it was an accident. It was only a little plane. It just had to be an accident. He was unsure of what kind of plane it was until the second plane hit. After the second plane hit, the news came over the radios. No one could believe it. The whole office gathered together to listen to radio news broadcast. My heart actually felt like it had stopped. The whole time I was at work I had no emotion except shock. We were let out at noon. I went home as fast as I could and was glued to the television. It all happened so fast that I really could not take it in. I made sure I got to the store in time for first press. I wanted to be sure I got enough information to help it all make sense. This is history and I wanted every piece of it to help me down the line when I have children. By the time I have children, this will be just another part in there history books. I want it to be more than that. I must of called everyone I knew to just know where they were. People were stopping by with so many emotions running. Revenge was the main emotion. I still had no real feeling towards it all. The next morning I woke up and can honestly say I forgot. It did not take me long to remember. On my way into work everything was different. For the first time in a long time, even before the attacks, there was a sort of peacefulness to everyone and everything around. I was amazed at how many flags were displayed in such a short period of time and how much kindness was in the air. People were actually being nicer. I know now that I was only in shock. My heart goes out to all of the families who lost someone dear to them. I may not of known anyone, but I can honestly say on September 12th I felt as if I we are all connected in a way. I believe that we will go on. We will always remember but it will not hold us back! We will United Forever and Always as One Nation.
