911DA Story: Story
Mine is such an innocuous story compared with the families who have lost a loved one on 9/11/01 but it reflects how the tragedy has hit every person in our beautiful country.
I saw the tragedy unfold live on television broadcasts. No words can describe that morning of September 11th.
I didn't know anyone who died, but I grieved. I am not rich, but I had flowers and candles. I am not an American Citizen, (A Brit. and proud of it.) but my house flew more Stars and Stripes than usual and still does. I'm not particularly religious, but I prayed.
I've cried a million tears in the last year for all the families who's lives will never be the same. I've asked myself, "What can I do to help".
We are stronger, the world is stronger and we will rid the world of destructive forces.
Than you for letting tell how I feel.
Sylvia Simonds.
