Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was visiting my boyfriend in New Jersey. I was supposed to fly out on that Tuesday, the 11th. I was also supposed to go visit New York that morning because the day before which was Monday the 10th was kind of a rainy day and we did other things. We thought that we would visit the towers and the Statue of Liberty before I flew out of Newark airport. Well, a good movie came on TV and chose to lie in bed and we thought we would go see the towers and Miss Liberty next time I flew in to New Jersey. Well, knowing me, if I went to the towers, I would have wanted to go to the top. I am so thankful and I thank God, that we did not visit New York that morning. When we checked out of hotel that morning we saw the news and it looked like it was a movie and we could not believe our eyes!! And my heart was just skipping beats. I instantly started to panic because everyone at home knew that where I was supposed to be that morning. My cell phone did not get any signal inside the hotel. When I did get signal there were over 12 phone calls. The last one was my mother. She had called twice and the last message that she had left she was very upset and yelling at me to call. I was very thankful that I did not visit New York that morning. I did stay at a friend's home and I helped the American Red Cross when I could.
