911DA Story: Story

I had been sleeping because I had stayed home from school. My aunt called me and she said "a plane just flew into the World Trade Center". To tell you the truth I wasn't quite sure what the World Trade Center was. Needless to say I would never again not know what the World Trade Center was. I got off the phone and immediatly turned on the TV. I went straight to CNN. In reailty I did not need to go to CNN because there was coverage on almost every single channel. I was amazed. I actully got up just in time to see the second plane smash into the second tower. At first, and I think many Americans felt this way, i didnt really think that it was real. America as a whoe usually viewed itself as invincible at the time. And now all the sudden there were these planes smashing into our buildings. I started trying to remeber if I knew anyone that lived in New York... I didnt. I was in awe staring at the screen and the constant replays of the events. People knew it was terroroist but not everyone was sure whether it was foreign or coming from our own people. Then I started getting scared because no one was sure at ths point whether there was going to be anymore attacks. We have Davis Monthan Air Force Base here in Tucson and so immediatly we start thinking about whether or not that would be a target and if so, how much danger would be involved for surrounding areas.ANd then I started thinking about my family, you know what if this turns into a big war and what if it is on a AMerican soil and on and on, so many things going through my head. I was starting to realise how important this was, the scale of this tradgedy and how no Americans lives would be the same. Eventally news came out the Osama Bin Laden was the main suspect and that we were going to go to war and I was deeply saddened. More innicent lived were going to be lost. More Americans, more people in other countries that have nothing to do with anything. And still to day we are at war an to no avail because we still have not getten the man weve been looking for for so long and so many people have died that shouldnt have. Hopefully, one day, we can all live in peace, every nation every nationality every sex, every denomination. In reality there is only one race, and that is human.
