911DA Story: Story
The morning of September 11th I stayed home from school. I was woken up by a phone call around 9:15. It was my sister yelling to turn on the t.v. because the twin towers had been bombed. I ran into the other room and fipped on the t.v. and found out that a plane had flown into the building instead of a bomb. It was very shocking to wake up to such news. My sister got off work early to come home, right as she entered the door we heard the second plane crash and the news of the pentagon. It's hard to discribe the feeling of that morning, I was completely dumbfounded. Everything was a blure, it was so unbelievable that something of this hatred had struck so close to home. The first thing I thought about was my father. I wanted to know if he was alright. At first I couldn't get ahold of him and it was a very scary thought that he might have been caught up in this mess. I finally got news that he was in a class when everything happened and that he was fine, it was a great relief to me. I have never felt so scared in my life, there were a million things running through my head. I think that it was amazing how such a tragedy has brought this country so close. I felt such pride for my country as I watched the scenes on the t.v. I still get cold chills thinking about it. This was one way that somebody tried to break this country, but news to them, you can hurt us but we will never break. United we stand and divided we fall. We will never be divided.
