I was attending Rtgers University which is only about 35-45 minutes away from New York City. On the 12th me and a bunch of my fraternity brothers drove to Ground Zero to volunteer our services in any way possible. One of my brothers is a volunterr fireman and was called to actually go within the wreckage and find any survivors. My brothers and I helped in suppling the rescue workers with food and water. What I saw as I was doing my volunteer work were bodybags carried away, families who actually stayed up overnight hoping to get word of their loved one who was missing. I also saw every volunteer and rescue worker shed tears, I couldn't help but join. We cannot allow this to ever happen again, to many lives were destroyed and too many were lost.
