It was a beautiful September 11th morning as I awoke to my then, just one month and one day baby girl Bernadette. Being home on maternity leave I was free to wander about the house and get my morning chores done before my baby awoke, which meant there was little time for television. I was absolutely oblivious to the the tragic events that took place until I picked up the phone to call my grandmother in Los Angeles, California. After a brief moment of speaking to her over the phone she asked me how I felt about everything that was happening. In complete bewilderment I had no idea what she was talking about and rushed to turn the T.V. on. Feeling scared and confused I watched as the entire world changed in front of my eyes. Today, it still feels like a dream and I still can't bring myself to accept the fact that so many lives were changed forever and so many were lost. I pray to God everyday that we find peace on earth and the will to move forward after such a horrid event.
