I woke up to the news as I always do. The breaking news came in of the attacks. I watched as the buildings burned and fell. I prayed. I called my husband, told him I was scared and that I loved him. I could not help looking out over the water (I live over a large lake) at the sky and noticing how empty it was. I just kept looking out to the sky expecting to see something horrible. I was angry so I put my flag up on my house and went to work. I cried the whole way there.
