Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was at work just getting the day started and listening to the Today Show, when the news broke that a plane had hit the WTC. Thinking that it was an accidental plane crash, I listened intently, feeling bad about what had happened. Then a little later I decided to turn on the television across the hall as myself and another employee watch the Trade Center burn, we were shocked to see another plane fly into the 2nd WTC. At that point I knew it was more than an accident. Staying glued to the TV....shortly we heard about about a possible explosion at the Pentagon....as I kept informing the other girls and our Doctor of what was happening..the Fire Whistle in somerset, PA went off...it was chilling. Phone calls started coming into our office about a large jetliner had crashed near Shanksville, PA....we could not possibly believe that it had anything to do with the other events. It did. Shortly our fears were confirmed and sure enough this jetliner was one of the highjacked planes. We could hardly function that day, but we continued to work and listen for news. There was no good news from the crash sight. That was a year ago..and every time I go to the sight I realize this country is made up of so many different types of heros and I thank them all.
