Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Q:How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. A:"I was driving on 464 westbound on my way to work. I turned on the radio station, and it was odd that a radio station that normally doesn't have news segments had a newsbreak. It announced that two planes, one each, had crashed into the World Trade Center and one crashed into the Pentagon and that we were under attack. I didn't view any video of the attacks until I went home after work. My thoughts were we were near Norfolk Naval Base and the possibility we could come under attack." Q:Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. A:"It definitely has changed, for instance, we had plans to fly during the Christmas break and we cancelled our plans. So we now travel less." Q:What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? A:"We should remember from 9/11 that we no longer feel that we cannot be attacked because we are so far away from our enemies. This showed me we can be attacked from within our own borders. Geography no longer offers us protection." Q:Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? A:"Yes, we had small flags on sticks displayed in my office. Yes, I feel that after the events of 9/11, flying the flag demonstrates an increased amount of patriotism from all Americans."
