My roommate's sister called me and and said" did you hear what happened?" I said I hadn't. She began to tell me and I clicked on CNN.com on my computer. Watching the events unfold before me I desperately tried to call any one from my job (I work at the Rotary District Office in Kalamazoo, MI). After leaving message after message I finally got a hold of Dr. Ed Foster a vet in Charlotte, MI. He was with a patient but took my call. I told him what was happening and his first reaction was "You're from there aren't you?" I said I was and he told me to close the office and leave. I promised I would make up the hours and he told me he didn't care about the hours and that I "needed to be at my apartment where people could find me". I went home, forward my phone to my roommmate's sisters house and the second I walked in her infant daughter smiled and put her arms up for a hug.
