Policy committee,

I want to express my support and appreciation of the work you have done on
the Policy committee.  I hope that you were not too frustrated and
disheartened by the discussion at the meeting tonite on the common council
proposal.  It is really super that you put this together and brought it
forward to the group.  I hope that those having differing opinions on the
verbiage and tone will give you whatever help you need in moving forward
with the "2 pronged" approach.  I would encourage you to utilize X's offer of assistance and experience.

I personally have mixed feelings on it, and no experience in political
matters.  On the one hand, I would like it to be stronger and actually say
what we mean, but understand the desire to actually get something passed.
In any case, I just wanted to express my support for your efforts in
whatever direction they take.
