911DA Story: Story
On June 7, 2002 at the introduction of the "Heroes2001" United States Postal Stamp, I saw the a chance to Honor
the 343 Fallen Firefighters of the World Trade Center.
I wrote the United States Postal Service about such a project. On August 26, 2002 I received permission to create this Memorial. It was unveiled at The Pentagon on October 5,
2002 during The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. On May 10, 2003 it was installed and completed
in Cecil County Maryland. The entire project took less than
one year from conception to completion, not 60 years like the WWII Memorial.
I believed in "BUILD IT NOW, SEE IT NOW".
