911DA Story: Story

I didn't lose family or friend in this terrible tragedy but I did lose something important. I lost my sense of security and freedom that I had known living in America. The next day I went with my boyfriend in his truck and as we were traveling on I-81 towards New York, I saw something that will live forever in my memory. One of those signs they put up in construction sites to let you know of upcoming changes in the roadway.
This sign did not say lane change or merge left or a construction speed limit.
This sign said "NEW YORK CITY CLOSED"
That is what the terroist did. They closed one of the most important cities in America. They stopped life as we knew it in our tracks. But we took a deep breath and resolved not to let them continue to make us all victims. We survive, we mourn our dead, we remain vigilant and we will protect our country. God Bless all Americans.
