911DA Story: Story
I would like to forward you my poem of that day's tragic events on this Day of Remembrance.
ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11
As I think back, one year ago,
When I just arrived at work,
The telephone rang, the news was told,
From a co-worker still at home.
We did not believe what we heard,
and even when we watched TV,
The shock took effect as
We all wondered, How could this be?
As we watched, yet still in disbelief,
and then we saw the second plane,
we still wondered, How could this be?
We knew how Americans felt over 60 years ago,
When Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese,
And they listened and watched in disbelief,
and wondered, How could this be?
