911DA Story: Story
My best friend Stacy Brazda called me at about 8:00 in the morning to tell me that America has been bombed....I was so shocked...I was not sure that I had heard her right!
My 5 year old had just started her first week of Kindergarten at Marshell Elemetry. I didn't know if let her go or keep her home...She could not understand my tears or my anger...I sent her. Most of the day I just spent it crying or getting worried not knowing what was still to come... where was that last plane going. I was in shock the rest of the day....It was the longest day of my life...and I know that I hadn't had the lose that the familys of the people on all 4 planes,at the pentagon and the towers had lost ... no way could I comprehend thier lose...the next few months where filled with anger and more saddness as the bodys where found and the furnerals took place..I can't begin to tell you how watching the people of New York and other areas began to rebuid my faith in God, my patriotism, and my own pesonal resolve to do my best to support my country and the men and women who protect her...I will never forget and I won't let my kids forget.
