It had been a long night my daughter was only six weeks old at the time. She had finally fell asleep sometime very early that morning, my husband was asleep on the couch in the living room, I had turned on the television in our bedroom and sometime shortly thereafter fell asleep myself. I thought I was dreaming, when I finally got awake I realized I wasn't, the first plane had just hit and there was talk about it being an accident and years ago a plane hitting the Empire State Builing and then something happened that I will never forget the second plane came around and all you could do was watch helplessly. I then went in and woke up my husband and told him what happened we both just sat there in awe.I just kept thinking, how could this be happening to the best damned nation in the world why didn't somebody try to stop it, why? Didn't these people who were behind this know that we will never forget, you don't kill thousands because you don't agree with the way we live or because you are jealous, you just don't do it!!!! As for my six week old daugter she is now over 13 months old and is beautiful, she amazes me everyday and I am thankful for all of our freedoms and that she has a mommy and daddy who love her very much. My heart goes out to the families who lost mommies and daddies, sons and daughters, husbands and wives. God Bless you all.
